Hi Everyone,

What are your plans in Toronto this coming New Year's Eve? It can go from boring/bizarre/fun to typical. My friends and I are headed there, unsure of what to do specifically, but we'd love some leads if any of you have any suggestions (we don't know the area at all and are up for anything)-- or hell, if you want to meet up with a bunch of random friendly people, certainly let me know :)

Gay Speech Studies [20 Jul 2005|07:41pm]

At the U of T Linguistics Department, we are investigating the phonetic characteristics of gay/lesbian and straight speech.

Participants will be recorded performing several speaking tasks: reading a word list, reading two short passages, viewing and describing a short silent film, telling about an interesting event in their life, and pronouncing various utterances at different pitches.

You must:
Be between the ages of 18–35 years
Be a native speaker of Southern Ontario English
Have no speaking or hearing difficulties
Be gay/lesbian

You would be paid $10.00 for participating. The recording takes about 30 minutes.

To sign up for this experiment or for further information,
please e-mail us at gl.sounds@utoronto.ca or reply to this post

where all you need is a tall latte and a medium... umm?

Are you an art fag? Interested in toronto queer counter-culture? Let your voice be heard by others like you. Others like me, and him, maybe even that. I started this community since I saw no other that interested me. We'll see where this goes.
